Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you receieve the benefits at your level of comfort and tollerance. Keep in mind that mild tender spots are common after this type of treatment. It is recommended that extra water be ingested to assist the body with recovery and processing of wastes and nutrients freed from tissues during the session. Geriatric massage is a form of massage designed to meet the specific needs of the elderly. It helps to improve blood circulation, relieve pain, and increase range of motion which all may help individuals to maintain and/or improve overall health, as well as regain certain physical functions that may have been reduced due to aging. In addition, since elders don not typically receive enough physical touch, massage can also help to alleviate symptoms of loneliness and depression. Compassionate Touch® and geriatric massage have been shown to decrease aggitation and "sundowning" in some people suffering from various types of dementia and Alzheimer's. Chair massage is a popular way of relieving stress and releasing tension right in your own home or workplace. You may receive your massage in a specialized ergonomic chair which is brought to your location. In addition to the usual health benefits of massage, another benefit of chair massage is that it is done over the clothing. With seated massage, you may also avoid discomfort or awkwardness that you may feel in disrobing for a traditional massage. A chair massage session are usually shorter than a traditional massage session, making it convenient enough to fit into your busy schedule. Chair or seated massage may also be an excelllent alternative for those who are not able to comfortably lay in a face down position. $60.00 minimum per location visit, although session may be scheduled for multiple individuals (example: couple receives two 30 minute seated massages at their home = $80.00). Hot Stone Therapy
Hot Stone Therapy is a style of massage utilizing smooth basalt stones heated in warm water. Stones are placed at specific sites on your body and used as massage tools to deepen relaxation and promote circulation. Muscles that are heated and worked with warm stones may release tension and stress more quickly and deeply. Moist heat put off by the stones is known to be especially soothing for those with osteoarthritis. The overall experience of a hot stone massage is wonderfully relaxing, energetically grounding, emotionally nurturing, and physically rejuvenating. Available only at home office location.

Compassionate Touch® is a form of touch therapy designed to meet the specific needs of the ill and elderly. The elderly typically do not receive regular physical touch, this therapy can help to alleviate secondary symptoms of loneliness and depression. Compassionate Touch® has been shown to decrease agitation and "sundowning" in some people suffering from various types of dementia and Alzheimer's. The method includes very intentional compassionate attention to the person, may include light, slow massage or energy work (according to the person's receptiveness), as well as soothing music and/or skilled, active listening.
